How To Use the Course Update Handbook as a guide in assisting you in becoming a Real Estate Agent and Realtor® in Ontario

This course update handbook will assist you at various stages in pre-registration, articling and professional brokerage course curriculums.

You will also be expected to have a working knowledge of the Act and Regulations. The Real Estate Course Update Handbook contains an overview of significant changes to course workbooks as a result of REBBA 2002.  Key cross-references to the Guide to REBBA 2002 published by the Real Estate Council of

Once you are enrolled in the pre-registration courses you will receive the RECO publication titled Guide to REBBA 2002 as part of your course package. Copies will be distributed directly to all registrants.  The Guide includes detailed information about the legislation, registrar’s bulletins, inspection procedures, advertising guidelines and explanatory notes regarding the Code of Ethics.

This guide complements the Real Estate Encyclopedia and the Provincial Reference Manual (PRM) and will be used as the primary reference for matters involving the Act/Regulations.

An unofficial reprint of the Act and Regulations is contained within the Guide to REBBA 2002 (third tab). Online versions of the Act and Regulations can be accessed on the RECO web site (www.reco.on.ca) and on e-laws (www.e-laws.gov.on.ca).
