GST

This tax is charged on all professional fees. There is no HST (GST+PST) on the purchase price of a resale home. Speak to your lawyer about their fee schedule.You must be sure that the HST does not apply, please read about New rules with the HST, please check the Ontario government HST websites

GST is collected on the sale prices of most goods and services; it does not apply to every type of home purchase or every form of real estate service. Generally, new home purchases are subject to HST (GST+PST) but may qualify for a HST (GST+PST) rebate. Resale homes may be sold without HST (GST+PST). Land may be exempt from tax, but REALTORS® and other professionals must charge HST (GST+PST) on the services they provide.
